FRSC takes step to address traffic gridlocks at worship centers in FCT
The Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC says it has deployed adequate personnel and Logistics to all the roads leading to Worship and recreation Centers in the Federal Capital Territory.
FCT Sector Commander of FRSC Mr Muta’a Chorie who stated this while speaking with Newsmen in Abuja said the measures was to have effective traffic control and check the excesses of motorists during the new year Eve church services across the Six area councils
The FCT Sector Commander said the Corps has also increased its visibility at the Abuja City center and other satellite towns to ensure smooth vehicular movement
According to him, FRSC has deployed acoholizers to check intake of illicit drugs by motorists and take necessary action when necessary.
He urged road users to keep to traffic rules and avoid reckless driving during the new year celebration.
Mr Chorie assured that members of the FRSC Special Marshal Unit have taken it upon themselves to support officers and men for late hours patrol and bring sanity to the highway during the ongoing end of year special patrol.
