Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, economic growth, and rural transformation as he flagged off the construction of a 24.

5km road project in Wamba Local Government Area.

The N9.6 billion Wamba-Waiye-Dengi-Alizaga road project is being executed by Centerfield Engineering Limited, under the supervision of the Nasarawa State Bureau for Rural Development.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Governor Sule described the road as a “critical economic corridor” designed to unlock the economic potential of rural communities by enhancing agricultural productivity, facilitating trade, and improving access to markets.

“This project, when completed, will connect communities, boost agriculture, stimulate commerce, and improve mobility, thereby driving economic activities in the region,” the governor said.

He added that his government remains focused on building “a prosperous, secure, and well-connected Nasarawa State.”

Local leaders and residents at the event praised the governor for the initiative, expressing optimism that the road will speed up development and attract more investment to the area.

Governor Sule also issued a stern warning against substandard work, urging the contractor to adhere strictly to all specifications and standards throughout the construction process.
