The Grassroots Mobilization for APC PBAT Nationwide (PBATGMAPC) has formally announced its support for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at the event in Abuja on Tuesday, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, represented by Honourable Mustapha Bala Dawaki, urged all party members to remain steadfast in their commitment to the APC and to rally behind President Tinubu’s reelection bid.

He charged members of the support group—drawn from the six geo-political zones and the Federal Capital Territory—to uphold unity and continue working toward the party’s vision of national development for the collective good of all Nigerians.

According to him, “Together, we must continue to support our great party, the APC, and ensure the continual progress and prosperity of our dear nation. Long live the APC and our noble leader.”

In his welcome address, the National Coordinator and Founder of Grassroots Mobilization for APC Nationwide, Alhaji Mohammed Lawal Rabana, highlighted the group’s contribution to the APC’s rise to power, recalling its formation following the merger of opposition parties in 2013.

Rabana noted that the organization has played significant roles in the APC’s victories in the 2015, 2019, and 2023 elections. He reaffirmed the group’s commitment to supporting the APC’s developmental agenda, promoting youth and women participation in politics, and empowering communities through collaborations with government and private organizations.

While appreciating participants for attending the inauguration ceremony, Rabana expressed confidence that with the support of the group, the APC would record another landslide victory in 2027.

Representing the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Dr. George Akume, Prince Sam Mchivga Ter commended the mobilizers for their steadfastness, describing them as the foundation of the party’s successes.

“You are a block in this movement. There is no structure without foundation. As grassroots mobilizers, you are very important,” he said. “As you return to your communities, work tirelessly to actualize this project. You will not regret it by the grace of God. My principal asked me to thank you—your efforts will not go unrewarded.”

In his goodwill message, the Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Honourable Christopher Maikalangu, urged the newly inaugurated executives of the group to demonstrate results by mobilizing at least 1,000 new members each in their respective localities.

Maikalangu encouraged members to strengthen relationships within their communities, markets, and worship centers, emphasizing that such grassroots connections are essential for building strong support for President Tinubu and the APC.

“You were not chosen for your looks but for your potential and capacity to deliver,” he said. “In the FCT, winning elections has always been tough, but this time, we will get it right. I’m doing my best in the rural areas—do the same wherever you are. Each member should bring in 1,000 members with valid voter cards. Let’s prove our capacity through results.”
