HDTDTA Attributes Causes Of Insecurity In South East To Activities Of Hoodlums

The National President of Heavy Duty Truck Drivers Association, HDTDA, Chief Uche Rogers Nebuwa has attributed the state of insecurity in the South Eastern part of Nigeria to activities of hoodlums in the region.

He stated this while speaking with newsmen in Abuja on his tour of the South East to ascertain the causes and reasons behind insecurity in the region.

Chief Uche Rogers Nebuwa who is also the Commander of Civilian Joint Task Force, CJTF, South East in charge of Anambra State exonerated IPOB and MASSOB as some of the Organizations behind insecurity in the South East.

He expressed his Organization’s readiness to work with all the Governors in the South East towards protecting lives and property of people of the area.

He stressed the need for the Police hierarchy to step of their games in combating the activities of hoodlums distrusting the peace of people of the region thereby causing insecurity and unrest among them.

The National President also called for the inclusion of members of Heavy Duty Truck Drivers Association in the nation’s security apparatus towards combating insecurity in the country.

Chief Uche Rogers Nebuwa alleged that the hoodlums causing mayhem in the South East are being sponsored by one Emmanuel who claimed to have the backing of the Presidency.

He therefore urged the Federal Government to look into the illegal activities of the man towards putting an end to insecurity in the South East.

According to him, his Command with the help of other patriotic stakeholders had demolished the hideout of some hoodlums the South East to safeguard the lives of the people.

While pledging HDTDA continuous support to the actualization of the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s led administration in the area of transportation and security, Chief Uche Rogers Nebuwa advised members of the Association to remain law abiding and contribute their quota to the success of President Bola Tinubu’s administration
