Security agencies have been urged to intensify efforts in combating terrorism, kidnapping, and banditry, which continue to endanger socio-economic activities across the country.

The National Coordinator of the South West and North of Nigeria Initiative, Dr. Sam Jenfa, made the call in Abuja, noting that the prevailing security challenges are depriving citizens of the benefits of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda programs.

According to him, many farmers in the northern region are unable to access their farmlands to harvest produce, while several pupils have been forced out of school due to insecurity.

Dr. Jenfa called on the government to identify and bring to justice those allegedly sponsoring terrorism, while also urging heads of security agencies to cleanse their institutions of bad elements undermining national security.

He appealed to Nigerian students to take advantage of the Federal Government’s Student Loan Scheme, which he said would help children of the less privileged attain higher education.

Dr. Jenfa also urged authorities overseeing the Student Loan Scheme to ensure that genuine students in tertiary institutions benefit from the program as intended.
