JAMB DELISTS SOME CENTRES, WARNS OTHERS, AND ONE CENTRE NO LONGER TO BE USED

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), following the conduct of the 2026 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), has delisted 23 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres due to technical deficiencies. The Board also issued warnings to centres with minor technical issues, while one centre has been barred from participating in any future examinations conducted by the Board.

The Mock UTME, designed to help candidates familiarise themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment, also serves as a key platform for assessing the Board’s level of preparedness. It offers an opportunity to identify centres that do not meet the required operational and technical standards.
After the 2026 Mock UTME, JAMB’s internal review mechanisms identified several centres that fell short of these expectations. As a result, the Board has taken decisive action, in line with its commitment to safeguarding the integrity of its examination processes, ensuring that only fully compliant and well-prepared centres participate in the main UTME.
