Kaduna Police Arrest Suspected Kidnappers Who Allegedly Developed Emotional Attachment to Victims
Two persons suspected to be involved in kidnapping and assault have been arrested by the Kaduna State Police Command following a coordinated operation aided by their victims.
According to the authorities, the suspects had abducted two women and held them against their will, during which the victims were reportedly subjected to unlawful treatment, including physical assault.
In a bid to secure their safety and eventual freedom, the victims engaged the suspects and later maintained communication with them after their release. On Tuesday, the women reportedly arranged to meet the suspects under the guise of a social engagement.
Acting on intelligence earlier provided by the victims, police operatives intercepted and arrested the suspects at the agreed location. The operation was carried out successfully without any recorded incident.
The suspects are currently in police custody, while investigations into the matter are ongoing. Police authorities have commended the bravery, calmness, and cooperation of the victims, noting that their actions were instrumental to the successful arrest.
Further details are expected to be released as investigations continue.
