A few days ago we gathered to celebrate the birthday of our beloved mother, Elder Mrs. Eunice Uzor Kalu, who is fondly called Odi Uko na Mba. It was a simple but joyful day.

We thank God for giving us her and for letting us mark another year with her.
Mama is a woman of strong faith. She is kind, wise, and full of love.
Anyone who meets her walks away encouraged. She has carried our family with prayers and sacrifice. She has shown us what it means to live with humility and to serve others without expecting anything back.

On her birthday, we reflected on how much she has done for all of us. She has been a pillar in the house. Her advice has guided her children and grandchildren. Her prayers have kept us. As she grows older, our prayer is that God continues to keep her in good health. We pray for peace in her heart, strength in her body, and joy every day. We pray that God gives her many more years to see her children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren grow and do well. She deserves all the love and honor we can give. Happy birthday once again, Odi Uko na Mba. We celebrate you today and always.

Apart from family, we have also been busy with political work in Abia State. Three days ago, leaders of the OUK Movement, Reality Organization, and our party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, came together at Camp Neya residence for our regular quarterly meeting. People came in from all the 17 Local Government Areas of Abia State. The hall was full of party men and women who have been working on the ground for years.

We used the meeting to look back at what we have done in the last few months and to plan for the months ahead. The goal was clear. We want to make our party structure stronger from the ward level to the state level. We want our people to feel the impact of government and to know that their voices matter. We also used the opportunity to reaffirm our support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We believe his government is working to put Nigeria on the right path, and we in Abia North are ready to key into that vision.

In Abia North Senatorial District, we have continued to push projects and programs that touch the lives of ordinary people. Roads have been fixed. Schools and health centers have received attention. Youths and women have been given opportunities for empowerment. These things do not happen by accident. They happen because party leaders, stakeholders, and community members decided to work together.

The meeting was well attended. I want to sincerely thank everyone who honored the invitation. Your time, your ideas, and your commitment made the meeting a success. I must specially appreciate some of our leaders who have stood firm with us. I thank Chief Tony Chukwu for his guidance. I thank Chief Charles Ahize for his loyalty. I thank Chief Onwuka Ukwa for his consistency. I thank Sir Mascot Uzor Kalu for always being there. I thank Alhaji Akali for his support. I thank Mr. Paul Muodebelu, Chief Nkuma Arochukwu, and the Honourable Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Austin. I also thank Chief Kelvin Jombo and many other leaders whose names I cannot mention one by one. Some of you asked that your names not be mentioned, but I see your work and I appreciate you. Your voluntary support and sacrifice show that you believe in our shared vision. You believe in our party and in the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. God will reward you.

After that big meeting, the OUK Movement leadership in Isuikwuato Local Government Area also held its own strategic meeting. This one brought together the four key officers from each of the wards in Isuikwuato, plus LGA officers, zonal officers, stakeholders, and state officers. The focus was grassroots work. How do we get closer to the people? How do we make sure every ward is active and every member feels carried along?

The discussions were frank. We talked about strengthening our party structure so it can deliver results. We talked about listening more to the people and responding to their needs faster. We talked about unity. One thing stood out. The energy in the room was high. Members showed enthusiasm and a strong sense of purpose. That tells me the movement is growing. With every meeting, with every engagement, we are building something solid.

Our target is to build a structure that truly reflects the hopes of our people in Abia North. People want jobs. People want good roads. People want light and water and security. People want a government that listens. That is what we are working toward. We are not making empty promises. We are organizing, we are planning, and we are delivering where we can.

Politics is about service. It is about showing up for your people even when the cameras are not there. It is about building from the bottom up. That is why these meetings matter. From the state quarterly meeting at Camp Neya to the LGA meeting in Isuikwuato, the message is the same. Stay united. Stay focused. Keep working for the people.

As we move forward, we will continue to strengthen the APC in Abia State. We will continue to support President Tinubu’s administration because we believe in a greater Nigeria. We will also continue to honor the values that our mothers like Elder Mrs. Eunice Uzor Kalu taught us. Values of faith, hard work, kindness, and community.

To our members across Abia North and Abia State, thank you for your commitment. Thank you for believing. Let us keep the momentum. Let us keep hope alive. And to Mama, Odi Uko na Mba, we pray that God keeps you for us. May He bless you with peace, strength, and long life. May He surround you with love and let you witness the good things that will come to your children and their children.

We are grateful to God for life, for family, and for the opportunity to serve.
