Kefas Appoints Kalla Taraba State University Vice Chancellor
The Governor of Taraba State, His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has approved the appointment of Professor Demo Joab Usman Kalla as the Vice Chancellor of Taraba State University of Tropical Agriculture, Science, Technology and Climate Action, Gembu.

Prior to his appointment, Professor Kalla served as the Director of the TETFund Centre of Excellence on Dairy Research and Development at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.
He was also a member of the Presidential Livestock Reforms Implementation Committee.
Professor Kalla is a prolific scholar with an impressive record of high-quality research publications in reputable local and international journals.
His outstanding contributions to Animal Science have earned him wide recognition and respect within academic and professional circles.
Governor Kefas expressed confidence that Professor Kalla will bring his wealth of experience in academia, research, leadership and administration to bear in providing the visionary leadership needed to build and position the new university as a Centre of Excellence in Tropical Agriculture, Science, Technology and Climate Action.
The Governor wished Professor Kalla a successful and impactful tenure and urged him to work diligently with relevant stakeholders towards the realisation of the university’s mandate and the advancement of education, research, innovation and sustainable development in Taraba State and beyond.
