Kogi: Woman injured after being shot during clash with charcoal tax collectors in Kabba

A woman identified as Facilla was reportedly shot by charcoal tax collectors during a confrontation in the Agbede area of Kabba Local Government Area, Kogi West Senatorial District.
The incident occurred when armed tax collectors engaged the well-known charcoal seller, leading to an altercation after disagreements arose over certain issues.

During the ensuing scuffle, one of the tax collectors, whose identity could not be immediately confirmed, allegedly drew a firearm and shot the woman, causing her serious injuries.
Following the incident, the victim was rushed to a state-owned medical facility for urgent medical attention. As of Friday, she was reported to be responding positively to treatment.
Reacting to the development, the Chairman of Kabba Bunu Local Government Area, Zacchaeus Dare Michael, confirmed the incident when contacted and assured that a thorough investigation would be conducted. He emphasized that anyone found responsible for the shooting would be dealt with in accordance with the law.
