The Federal Government has officially reacted to the public apology tendered by Fuji legend, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate or KWAM 1.

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, confirmed that while the apology has been acknowledged, no final decision has been reached on the matter.

KWAM 1 recently made headlines after allegedly attempting to stop a ValueJet aircraft from departing Abuja, reportedly over an alcoholic beverage in his possession.

In the aftermath, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) placed the musician on a six-month no-flight risk list, while suspending the pilot of the aircraft pending a thorough investigation.

In his letter of apology, the Fuji star expressed remorse to aviation industry leaders, the president, and Nigerians for his unruly conduct.

Responding to this, Keyamo stated, “The video apology has been seen and noted, but the matter remains under official consideration, and we have not yet deliberated on it.”
