The Nasarawa State Government says the ongoing 2.6-kilometre Mararaba-Nyanya Flyover and adjoining road project will be completed by December this year.

Managing Director of the Nasarawa State Urban Development Board, Wada Yahaya, disclosed this during an inspection tour of infrastructure projects by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors National Media Tour.

Yahaya said the project is aimed at improving traffic flow, reducing congestion and strengthening connectivity between Nasarawa State and the Federal Capital Territory.
He explained that the project forms part of the state government’s efforts to modernise urban infrastructure and provide efficient transportation corridors for residents and businesses.
According to him, the project will cost between N43 billion and N44 billion, including compensation, road markings, signage and street lighting.
He added that upon completion, the flyover is expected to boost economic activities and reduce travel time between Abuja and Keffi from more than two hours to less than 40 minutes.
