On behalf of the leadership and entire membership of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), the National President, Engr.

Jani Ibrahim, mni, extends warm and heartfelt greetings to all Christian brothers and sisters as they observe the sacred season of Lent.

The Lenten season, spanning forty days of prayer, fasting, sacrifice, and reflection, is a time of solemn preparation for Easter.

It is a spiritual journey that calls believers to repentance, renewal, and deeper devotion to God. More than a ritual, Lent embodies enduring values that resonate across faiths—humility, compassion, self-discipline, and service to others.

Engr. Ibrahim underscores that Lent is not only a personal spiritual exercise but also a collective call to strengthen unity, foster peace, and uphold justice in our communities. The discipline of fasting teaches resilience and self-control, prayer draws believers closer to God, and acts of charity reinforce compassion and solidarity with the less privileged. These practices remind us of our shared responsibility to uplift one another and to build a society anchored on love and service.

He further reflects that Lent offers Nigerians a unique opportunity to pause and reflect on the state of our nation. Just as Lent prepares Christians for the joy of Easter, it should inspire all citizens to embrace sacrifice, tolerance, and service in building a stronger, more united Nigeria. The season’s lessons of humility and compassion are timeless principles that can guide our collective journey toward peace, justice, and national progress.

As the nation journeys through this season of sacrifice and renewal, NACCIMA reaffirms its dedication to fostering inclusive growth, supporting businesses, and advancing the collective progress of Nigeria. The President urges all Nigerians to embrace the spirit of Lent by showing kindness, promoting tolerance, and working together for the advancement of our great country.

Happy Lenten Season. May it bring you spiritual fulfillment, abundant blessings, and renewed strength.
