NBA Nyanya- Karu hails FCT Minister for transformative work

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Nyanya Karu Branch has applauded the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Wike, for his remarkable work in transforming the FCT, particularly the Nyanya Karshi axis. The branch chairman, Barrister Alexander Ebi Edim, expressed his appreciation on behalf of the branch, citing the minister’s massive road rehabilitation efforts, water project in Jikwoyi, and renovation of courts within the zone.

In a press release on Monday, Edim stated that Wike is the first serving minister to have transformed the FCT within a short space of two and a half years, since his appointment as FCT Minister. The chairman noted that the minister’s efforts have been remarkable, and the branch is pleased with his passion and hard work to transform the FCT.

The NBA Nyanya Karu Branch has nominated Minister Wike for an award as the most performing minister, citing his outstanding achievements in infrastructural development. Edim hinted that the minister has been recommended by elders of the branch to the executive committee for the award.

The branch is preparing for its 2026 Law Week, scheduled to take place from April 17-20, 2026, and an award night on April 25, 2026. The event is expected to be graced by prominent lawyers, including the former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Honourable Justice Walter Onnoghen (rtd).

Edim expressed satisfaction that Karu and its environs will soon wear a new look, thanks to the minister’s efforts. He stated that the branch is pleased with the minister’s work and will continue to support him.

The NBA Nyanya Karu Branch is one of the largest branches in the FCT, with over 500 members. The branch’s recognition of Minister Wike’s efforts is a testament to his commitment to transforming the FCT.

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Nyanya Karu Branch is set to honour the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Wike, with an award for his outstanding performance in transforming the FCT.

The branch chairman, Barrister Alexander Ebi Edim, praised Minister Wike for opening up road networks in Karu and driving massive infrastructural development in the zone, including a water project in Jikwoyi and renovation of courts.

In a press release, Edim stated that Minister Wike is the first serving minister to transform the FCT within two and a half years, citing developments like road rehabilitation and infrastructure upgrades across the territory.
