NCPC Boss Applauds Adamawa Pilgrims for Exemplary Conduct, Describes Gov Fintiri as One of the Most Resourceful, Pilgrimage-Friendly Governors in the North East
Jerusalem, Israel –
The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has lauded the Adamawa pilgrims for their exemplary behavior during their stay in the Holy Land. The commendation came during the Jerusalem Pilgrims ceremony organized for Adamawa and Imo pilgrims.
Represented by the Director of Administration of the Commission, Mr. Abu Okpanachi, Bishop Adegbite described Governor Ahmadu Fintiri as one of the most resourceful and pilgrimage-friendly governors in the North East. He expressed gratitude to the governor for his consistent support and genuine concern for the spiritual growth of the people of Adamawa State.
This was contained in a statement issued by Celestine Toruka, Deputy Director and Head of Media and Public Relations of the Commission, and made available to journalists.
Bishop Adegbite also expressed deep satisfaction with the conduct of the third batch of pilgrims, mainly from Adamawa State. He noted that he was impressed by their discipline, decency, and sense of decorum throughout their pilgrimage, from their arrival in Jordan to their activities in Israel. He further emphasized that all Adamawa pilgrims returned home safely, with none missing.
His Royal Highness, Alheri Nyako, the Tol Hoba and Head of the Government Delegation of the Adamawa contingent, appreciated Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for sponsoring the pilgrimage. He prayed for divine grace upon the governor to continue steering the affairs of the state successfully. He also commended the Chairman of the Adamawa State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Bishop Theophilus Shedrack, and the Executive Secretary, Mr. Geoffrey Garba, for their effective coordination.
Similarly, the Charge D’Affaires of the Nigerian Embassy in Israel, Mr. Ezekiel Ikwe, praised the Adamawa pilgrims for their outstanding conduct, noting that there were no reports of abscondment or misconduct. He urged them to continue to be good ambassadors of the gospel and assured that the Nigerian Embassy in Israel would keep working to strengthen diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Israel.
