NCPC Boss, Bishop Adegbite, Felicitates Muslims on Eid-el-Fitri
By Our Correspondent
The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite, has extended warm Eid-el-Fitri greetings to Muslim faithful.
This was contained in a statement issued by Celestine Toruka, Deputy Director and Head, Media and Public Relations of the Commission, and made available to journalists in Abuja.
In his Sallah message released on March 19, 2026, Bishop Adegbite congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and urged them to be their brother’s keeper. He emphasised that the Ramadan fast is a spiritual exercise meant to draw adherents closer to God, noting that its gains should inspire better conduct in society.
The NCPC boss admonished Muslims to embrace dialogue over confrontation and to celebrate with moderation, mindful of those who may lack the means to celebrate. He also urged them to continually uphold President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in prayers and to seek divine guidance for the peaceful conduct of the 2027 general elections.
Bishop Adegbite further called on Muslim clerics to intercede for Nigeria, especially during the Eid-el-Fitri period. He appealed to all Nigerians to support the Federal Government in tackling banditry, insurgency, and terrorism, expressing optimism that the country will attain greatness through collective effort.
