NCPC Executive Secretary Leads Delegation to Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Talks
The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite, on September 8, 2025, led a delegation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem, Israel, for a bilateral meeting. The delegation included members of the House of Representatives and ground handlers. Discussions centered on strengthening Nigeria-Israel bilateral relations.

In his remarks, Bishop Adegbite thanked the Ministry for its support in providing a safe and secure environment for Nigerian pilgrims. He reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to ensuring zero cases of abscondment among pilgrims and maintaining transparency in its operations.
He further noted the remarkable participation of about 100 members of the House of Representatives in the Executive Pilgrimage, expressing confidence that this initiative would become a regular feature.
In response, Tania Berg-Rafaeli, Director of the West and Central Africa Division at Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, commended Bishop Adegbite for his visionary leadership and sound guidance. She lauded Nigerian pilgrims for their exemplary conduct and pledged closer collaboration with the Nigerian Embassy in Israel and NCPC to deepen bilateral ties. She also hinted at the possibility of a Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA) between both countries.
