The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has congratulated its Executive Secretary, Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite, on his appointment as Director of Mobilization, Faith-Based (Christians), of the 2027 APC Presidential Campaign Council.

The congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued by the Management and Staff of the Commission on Saturday, August 22, 2026, and signed by Celestine Toruka, Director, Media and Public Relations, NCPC.

The Commission expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for considering Bishop Adegbite worthy of the appointment.
NCPC described the appointment as well deserved and a recognition of Bishop Adegbite’s capacity, pedigree, and years of service to the church and the nation.
The Commission said Bishop Adegbite, who also serves as Chaplain of the Aso Villa Chapel and Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Lagos State, possesses the capacity to mobilize millions of Nigerian Christians to align favourably with the APC in the 2027 Presidential Election scheduled for January 16, 2027.
According to the statement, the Executive Secretary’s pedigree speaks volumes about his ability to deliver on national assignments, describing him as a tested performer, a resourceful and result-driven leader who is well suited for the responsibility.
The Commission further noted that, in his two and a half years as Executive Secretary of NCPC, Bishop Adegbite has transformed Christian pilgrimage in Nigeria through effective stakeholder engagement and the successful conduct of hitch-free pilgrimage exercises.
NCPC expressed optimism that the new appointment would provide Bishop Adegbite with another platform to serve the nation with dignity, good conscience, and patriotism.
