The National President of the Youth Forum for Development on Africa (YFDA), Amb. Dr. Paschal Anyanwu, has extended his congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nigerian youths on the occasion of the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

In a goodwill message issued in Abuja to commemorate the anniversary, Amb.

Dr. Anyanwu, who also serves as President of the Coalition of NGOs and CEOs in Nigeria, acknowledged that though the country has faced numerous challenges, its continued unity and survival remain reasons to be grateful to God.

Paying tribute to Nigeria’s founding fathers, he urged citizens—particularly politicians—to remain steadfast in pursuing the dreams and ideals upon which the nation was built. He further expressed optimism that, with the sustained support of all stakeholders, Nigeria will soon assume its rightful place among the community of nations.

Amb. Dr. Anyanwu also appealed to religious leaders to continue offering prayers for the country, particularly for progress in overcoming its economic and security challenges. He extended warm Independence Day wishes to Nigerians, especially the youth, NGOs, and CEOs across the country.

Using the occasion to highlight pressing concerns, Dr. Anyanwu called on President Tinubu to urgently instruct relevant government officials to release long-awaited grants subscribed to by Nigerians and NGOs. He noted that many beneficiaries have endured worsening economic hardship while waiting, with over 50 million people still hoping for disbursement. According to him, some have died in the process, while others face illness, depression, homelessness, and the inability to sustain their children’s education.
