Nigeria Police to discipline Officers Caught Receiving Money from Chinese National in a viral video
The Nigeria Police Force has reacted to a viral video showing some of its officers receiving money from a Chinese national, describing the conduct as unprofessional and unethical.
In a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police condemned the officers’ actions, stating that such behaviour does not align with the ethics, standards, and core values of the Force.
“The Nigeria Police Force has zero tolerance for unprofessional conduct and other forms of misconduct that undermine public trust and confidence,” the statement read.
The police noted that the officers involved have been identified and are currently facing disciplinary proceedings.
The Force also urged individuals and organizations who engage police personnel for escort, guard, or other specialized services to refrain from acts that could compromise the integrity of its officers or tarnish the image of the Force.
The Nigeria Police insisted on its commitment to upholding professional standards and maintaining public confidence in law enforcement.
