Northern Nigeria Minorities Group Congratulates Nigeria, Citizens on 65th Independence Anniversary
The Northern Nigeria Minorities Group (NNMG) extends heartfelt felicitations to the Federal Republic of Nigeria and its citizens on the historic celebration of the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
This milestone offers yet another opportunity to reflect on our collective journey as a people. For more than six decades, our unity and determination to remain as one indivisible nation have been tested on several occasions, yet we remain resolute. Our resilience, patience, and unwavering faith in Nigeria’s destiny have kept us strong. We salute countless Nigerians who, in the face of adversity, continue to uphold the ideals of unity, peace, and progress—the very foundation upon which our nation rests.
We pay glowing tribute to our founding fathers and to all who have steered the affairs of this great nation at various times. Their sacrifices, alongside the everyday sacrifices of ordinary Nigerians, remain the bedrock of Nigeria’s endurance and progress.
The NNMG also acknowledges the courage and vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose policies and leadership reflect his commitment to placing the progress, stability, and survival of Nigeria above political considerations. His bold steps in addressing national challenges demonstrate true statesmanship and his abiding faith in the future of our dear country.
As we mark this 65th Independence Anniversary, let us remember that what unites us is stronger than any force that seeks to divide us. Our diversity, resilience, and shared hope remain the essence of the Nigerian spirit and the driving force for a brighter future.
The Northern Nigeria Minorities Group therefore urges all Nigerians to stay focused, renew their faith in the Nigerian project, embrace unity, and work together to build a nation that fulfils the dreams and aspirations of our founding fathers.
Happy 65th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria.
