OTEI 2026 Inspires Youths, Entrepreneurs in Ogbomoso
Ogbomoso recorded a major milestone in youth development and enterprise empowerment as Ogbomoso Tech & Entrepreneurship Ignite 2026 (OTEI 2026) was successfully held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at The Hall, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.
OTEI 2026, themed “Vision to Value: Building a Structured, Bankable and Scalable Enterprise,” convened hundreds of participants including students, young professionals, entrepreneurs, startup founders, SMEs, creatives, and industry stakeholders for a full day of impactful keynote sessions, panel discussions, networking, pitching, and business-building insights.
The conference was created to bridge the gap between ideas and execution by equipping participants with practical knowledge in technology, innovation, entrepreneurship development, business growth strategies, finance and funding, legal compliance, tax education, and career development.

A powerful opening keynote was delivered by Favour Afolabi, Software Engineer at Eddozier Systems, who spoke on “Technology and Innovation: How Local Ideas Are Shaping Global Possibilities.” He emphasized the importance of innovation, structure, and resilience in building enterprises capable of competing in today’s digital economy.
According to him, three major factors are critical for global competitiveness: Solve, Solve Well, and Scale. His presentation sparked deep engagement among attendees.
Equally remarkable was the closing keynote by Osho Temitayo Michael, Founder of Creatorgigs Africa, who delivered a thought-provoking session focused on SEO, content marketing, and visibility strategies for African businesses in 2026.
The session evolved into an interactive experience where participants moved beyond learning to practical application.
“Most people consume knowledge but never apply it. Visibility doesn’t come from what you know, it comes from what you show,” Michael stated.
His keynote reinforced the conference’s central message of transforming vision into measurable outcomes and highlighted the limitless opportunities social media offers individuals and businesses.
Speaking during the event, the Convener, Adedoye Godwin, MBA, reiterated that OTEI is beyond an annual gathering but a long-term empowerment movement aimed at positioning Ogbomoso as a rising hub for technology and entrepreneurship in Nigeria.
“OTEI is beyond an event; it is a movement built to awaken the entrepreneurial spirit of Ogbomoso youths and equip them with the structure and confidence to build sustainable businesses. Our mission is to raise leaders, innovators, and job creators,” he said.
OTEI 2026 featured seasoned speakers and professionals who delivered sessions on business scalability, digital innovation, career development, access to finance, leadership, entrepreneurship growth strategies, regulatory compliance, and taxation.
Participants described the experience as “eye-opening,” “well-structured,” and “one of the most impactful entrepreneurship gatherings in Ogbomoso in recent times.” The event also recorded significant online engagement, with growing calls for expansion to other cities.
The Organizing Committee expressed appreciation to attendees, partners, sponsors, supporters, and volunteers whose contributions ensured the success of the conference.
Following the success of OTEI 2026, the Committee confirmed plans to transition the initiative into a structured NGO focused on youth empowerment, mentorship, entrepreneurship development, innovation support programs, and sustainable community impact within Ogbomoso.
