The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, Alhaji Adamu Bako Ninga, has called on the people of Nasarawa State and Nigerians at large to continue supporting the party at all levels in order to ensure its return to power in 2027 and enable it to deliver its people-oriented agenda.

Ninga made the appeal while felicitating with the Muslim Ummah on the celebration of this year’s Eid-Maulud, urging them to uphold peace and offer prayers for the nation and Nasarawa State.

He further encouraged Muslim faithful and other Nigerians to remain steadfast in the service of God and the country, stressing the need to pray for the return of the opposition PDP, particularly in Nasarawa State, to correct past wrongs and provide good governance.

While congratulating Muslims across the country on the occasion, Ninga highlighted the significance of Eid-Maulud, which commemorates the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He urged Muslims and Nigerians generally to live a life devoted to Almighty Allah, as exemplified in the Holy Qur’an.

According to the PDP chairman, “The privilege granted us by Almighty Allah to witness another Maulud celebration must be greatly valued as it provides an opportunity for the Muslim Ummah to reflect on Prophet Muhammad’s life of compassion, kindness, and selflessness.”

Ninga also called on government at all levels, political leaders, and stakeholders to use the spirit of Eid-Maulud to foster unity, implement policies that will ease the burdens of citizens, and ensure good governance.

He advised leaders to uphold the dignity of every Nigerian, shun corruption, tackle insecurity, and improve the welfare and basic needs of the people. He emphasized that integrity and fairness must guide the country’s leadership if Nigeria is to achieve peace and sustainable development.

He added that the celebration provides Nigerians an opportunity to reflect on values of humility, justice, compassion, and devotion to God, as taught by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

“We are reminded that Nigeria is today at a critical crossroads. The challenges of governance, economic hardship, and the yearning for credible leadership demand renewed commitment to fairness, accountability, and compassion,” Ninga stated.

Extending warm wishes to Muslims nationwide, the PDP Chairman said: “On behalf of myself and Nigerians, especially the residents of Nasarawa State, I extend greetings for a peaceful and joyous celebration. May this Eid-Maulud inspire stronger interfaith unity, renew our collective hope for Nigeria, and encourage us all to work together for a just and prosperous year ahead.”
