Remain Calm, Trust Government — Yusuf Urges Nigerians
Nigerian-American entrepreneur, Mr. Ismaila Yusuf, has urged Nigerians to remain calm, trust the government and sustain peace within their communities as the Christmas season approaches, emphasising the importance of lawfulness, faith and economic prudence in the face of prevailing national challenges.
In a statement signed by Yusuf, the Managing Director of Atuspay and Chief Executive Officer of Atusbulk, Xpress-eSIM and Woskybet, the financial and economic expert appealed to Nigerians to celebrate the festive period responsibly, obey the laws of the land and remain hopeful that the current administration will address the nation’s challenges.
Yusuf stressed that peace and respect for constituted authority are vital to national stability, particularly at a time of heightened social and economic pressures, and called on citizens to conduct themselves peacefully within their respective communities.
“I urge everybody to remain calm and believe in the government, as the government is doing its best,” he said.
He also highlighted the spiritual essence of Christmas, encouraging Nigerians to mark the season with faith and renewed belief, noting that the celebration carries a message of sacrifice and hope.
“Nigerians should celebrate Christmas with faith and believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins,” Yusuf stated.
On the economic front, Yusuf advised citizens to exercise financial discipline during the festive period, urging them to cultivate a savings culture and avoid unnecessary spending. He noted that Atuspay enables Nigerians to send money to over 190 countries across the world.
“I advise Nigerians to always learn how to save their money for a rainy day. They should also be mindful of overspending,” he added.
Yusuf further appealed for responsible public communication, urging Nigerians to be cautious in their utterances and expressions at a time when national unity and calm are essential.
He said the message was aimed at promoting peace, economic responsibility and collective optimism as Nigerians celebrate the Yuletide season.
