The motion was moved during plenary by Senator Mohammed Musa Sani, who expressed deep concern over the worsening security situation in parts of the state.

He described the attack as tragic, inhumane, and a serious threat to peace and stability in the region.

Senator Sani informed lawmakers that the bandits carried out coordinated assaults on vulnerable communities in Borgu, killing dozens of innocent people and leaving many others injured and displaced.

He noted that the persistent attacks have created fear among residents, disrupted economic activities, and forced many families to flee their homes.

He urged the Federal Government and relevant security agencies to urgently deploy more troops, police personnel, and other security operatives to the affected areas to prevent further loss of lives and restore confidence among the people.

The Senate, in its resolution, called on security agencies to intensify surveillance, strengthen intelligence gathering, and take decisive action to dismantle criminal networks operating within the region. Lawmakers also emphasized the need for sustained security presence to ensure lasting peace.
