Seven District Heads Appointed in Huba Chiefdom, Gashala/Mayo-Lope Position Remains Vacant

The Huba Chiefdom Traditional Council in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State says the appointment of a substantive District Head for Gashala/Mayo-Lope District is still pending.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Secretary of the Huba Chiefdom Traditional Council, Alh. Abba A. Saleh, the council urged the general public to disregard a purported approved list circulating on social media regarding the appointment of substantive District Heads.
“The general public is hereby advised to disregard the purported approved list currently circulating on social media, as it did not emanate from the Huba Chiefdom Traditional Council or any competent authority. Besides, appointment of district heads is not done through social media.
“Members of the public are enjoined to rely only on official communications issued by the appropriate authorities,” the statement reads.
The statement explained that out of the eight (8) District Heads of Huba Chiefdom where vacancies existed, the Governor approved the appointment of seven (7) substantive District Heads.
They include ACG Andrew Barka (Rtd.) for Kulinyi District; Alh. Mahmoud Abdulkadir for Shangui District; Alh. Abdulnasir Iya Abbas for Mufa District; Mr. Clifford N. Kadala for Uding District; Mr. Henry Kadiri for Hyema District; Mr. Aliyu Ibrahim for Yadul District; and Mr. Anderson Tsowurda for Mugwahi District.
The Huba Chiefdom Traditional Council congratulated the newly appointed substantive District Heads and wished them successful and peaceful tenures in service in their respective districts.
