Taraku Mills 75% Ready for Full Production –Egyptian Partner

The Taraku Mills factory in Benue State has been assessed as 75 percent ready for full-scale production.
The assessment followed an inspection by a team of engineers from AL WADI AL AKHDAR OIL MILLS, Asher, Cairo, Egypt.

The Egyptian team, led by Saleh Mansury, conducted an on-site assessment of the facility alongside officials of the Corporate Communications and Information Technology Unit (CCIT) of the Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC).
During the inspection, the engineers examined major sections of the factory, including its equipment, operational processes and production systems, to determine their readiness for full-scale operations.
After the assessment, Mansury expressed satisfaction with the condition of the facility, saying it was about 75 percent ready for full production.
He explained that the remaining 25 percent would require minor upgrades in some sections of the factory to align its operations with modern technology and improve efficiency.
According to him, the boiler and solvent machine were among the key areas requiring attention.
Mansury said upgrading the equipment would enhance operational efficiency while reducing energy consumption.
He added that the company was prepared to commence full-scale production once the identified upgrades were completed.
He also disclosed that plans were underway to introduce additional production lines, particularly for cake production.
Mansury urged farmers across Benue State to increase the cultivation of soybeans, groundnuts and maize, which he identified as essential raw materials for the factory.
Also speaking after the inspection, Engr. James Emmanuel agreed with the assessment, saying the factory was in good condition and capable of operating effectively.
Emmanuel said completing the required upgrades, particularly in the boiler and solvent sections, would position the factory to commence production at full capacity.
The inspection forms part of ongoing efforts to revitalise Taraku Mills, improve its production capacity and establish a timeline for the commencement of full-scale operations.
