THIS IS MARRIAGE!!
No simulation. No dilution. No pretence. No theatrics. Beyond words. Beyond appearances. This is marriage in its real and raw form.
For those who see marriage merely through the sexual lens, they would have pulled out long ago.
When marriage is defined, situated and viewed through the lenses of emotional satisfaction, it becomes a convenience propelled by tangible ephemerals, here today, gone tomorrow.
But this is marriage.
Love in its purest and most unconditional form. Affection. Care. Presence. Commitment. Even when the other spouse can neither feel it, understand it, nor appreciate it.
Marriage is not only about what you receive from the other. Sometimes, it is about what you continue to give when there is seemingly nothing coming back.
Rest in peace, Chief Olu Jacobs.

By this singular act of yours, you have reminded us that marriage is more than companionship when things are good. It is covenant when things fall apart.
Marriage has gained a new definition, not from words, but from the quiet eloquence of sacrifice.
