Tragedy: How Quest for Owed Money Ended in death

It was tragic and traumatizing when two young men unfortunately lost their lives while chasing a debtor in Kano.

According to confirmation from the Kano State Fire Service, the incident occurred in a waterlogged ditch along Ring Road, opposite Dorayi Babba.

The State Fire Service Public Relations Officer, ACFO Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, said the distress call was received around 9:36 a.

The victims, identified as 27-year-old Saifullahi Muhammad and 29-year-old Halifa Abdullahi, both from Gwammaja quarters, were reportedly chasing a debtor from Kofar Ruwa Market when they fell into the ditch.

“Our rescue team from the headquarters responded immediately and recovered both men, who were found unconscious”

“They were rushed to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, where they were later confirmed dead by medical personnel,” the statement reads.
