Why President Tinubu Should Appoint Alhaji Yahaya Bello as Director-General of the 2027 Presidential Campaign Council — Appeal by Asokoro Youth Association for Tinubu 2027

A strong appeal has been made to the President and father of the nation, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to consider appointing a dynamic political leader, Alhaji Yahaya Adaiza Bello, as Director-General of the 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.

The appeal was made in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, by members of the Asokoro Youth Association for Tinubu 2027, in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
Speaking to journalists at a press conference in Abuja, the National Coordinator of the association, Musa Adah, said the group—comprising a large number of highly skilled professionals and experts drawn from various fields, including academia and the organised private sector—had carefully assessed the prevailing political environment.
According to the group, after examining key political parameters and the evolving reactions to opposition strategies, members of the association became convinced that the most suitable individual to effectively lead the 2027 Presidential Campaign Council is His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adaiza Bello.
The association noted that Alhaji Bello possesses the boldness, courage, and broad appeal required to connect with all segments of the voting electorate. They stressed that his political strength and leadership qualities would resonate strongly with youths and voters across the Federal Capital Territory and the six geopolitical zones of the country.
They further appealed to President Tinubu to heed the call of young voters nationwide, expressing confidence that his decision would galvanise widespread support and strengthen the campaign ahead of 2027.
Renowned for their strong voting blocs and strategic mobilisation, members of the association said they remain hopeful that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would respond positively to what they described as a “children-to-father” appeal.
Meanwhile, the association outlined a series of planned official activities aimed at supporting less-privileged citizens across the six area councils. They also disclosed plans to roll out programmes designed to sensitise the electorate on the achievements and milestones recorded by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress federal administration over the past 34 months.
