Wike Celebrates Easter with FCT Residents, Calls for Unity and National Service

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, has congratulated Christians in the nation’s capital on the successful completion of the 40-day Lenten fast and the celebration of Easter.


In a formal Easter message issued by the Deputy Director, Press Office of the Honourable Minister, Rabi Musa Umar, Wike described Easter as a symbol of new beginnings and renewed hope.
He urged residents to reflect on the teachings of Jesus Christ and recommit themselves to national service and peaceful coexistence.
“We urge FCT residents, especially the Christian faithful, to use this occasion to rededicate themselves to love and service to our fatherland,” he said.
Wike assured residents of the FCT Administration’s commitment to security, noting that adequate measures have been put in place to ensure a peaceful Easter celebration.
He also highlighted the transformative impact of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the FCT, pointing to ongoing infrastructure projects under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“I am proud to be part of this journey towards a more prosperous and harmonious FCT,” Wike added.
The Minister further prayed for joy to fill the hearts and homes of residents, encouraging them to embody Christlike virtues of compassion and kindness.
