Zamfara Tragedy: Six Dead, Two Injured as Gunmen Attack Goods Vehicle

Six people have lost their lives, while two others sustained injuries following an attack by suspected terrorists on a vehicle transporting goods in Toffa village, located in Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

According to security sources, troops of 1 Brigade under Combat Team 3 in Magami swiftly responded to a distress call regarding the incident at about 2:30 p.m. on April 6 during an ongoing fighting patrol.
The attackers reportedly opened fire on the moving vehicle, causing it to overturn.
Upon arrival at the scene, troops found that six occupants had been killed in the attack, while two others were injured. The wounded victims were immediately evacuated to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
Security sources added that troops have since intensified patrol operations in the area to track down those responsible and prevent further attacks.
