Nasarawa Speaker harps on all inclusive leadership, calls for peace, unity, good governance

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, has stressed the need for inclusive leadership, good governance, peace and unity in Nasarawa state and the nation at large.

This is just as he has assured Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s of the Assembly’s continued support through providing people oriented legislation to give the governor and the government the needed environment to succeed.

This, the Speaker re-, affirmed his commitment to carrying every member along, promote peace, unity and good governance in the State.

The Speaker gave the assurance during mini reception organized for his PhD attainment by members of the 7th Assembly which was sponsored by Dr. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim, member representing Nasarawa Central today in Lafia.

Dr. Jatau appreciated the members of the Assembly for the support he is getting from them and called for its sustenance.

Speaker Jatau, who described the 7th Assembly as the best assembly he has ever seen in the history of the state due to their unique nature in the area of unity, peace and all inclusiveness.

” I want to use this opportunity to thank all of you for the support you have been giving to me.

” I have been enjoying your support which has enable us to succeed by passing resolutions and bills that have direct impact on the lives of our people.

“I want us to continue to give His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule all the necessary support to succeed so that our people will continue to enjoy more dividends of democracy” he said.

” Thank God, I was able to attain the PhD few months ago. It is not easy but I thank God for the successful completion and attainment of my PhD, at a time I nearly gave up, sometimes I gets encouraged” he added.

The Speaker also assured of the Assembly’s continued commitment to enact good laws for good governance of the State.

” All what is expected of us is good governance and we will continue to unite and give our support to His Excellency for good governance to thrive in the state,” he said.

Jatau appreciated Honourable members, particularly, Hon Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim for organizing the mini reception and prayed God to bless them abundantly.

” I pray God and wished that I see all of you in the next 8th Assembly in Nasarawa State, may God reward you all” He said.

On their parts, Hon Dr Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim,. the organizer of the event, Hon Suleiman Yakubu Azara, the Majority Leader and Hon Musa Ibrahim Abubakar congratulated the Speaker on the attainment of his PhD.

They also thanked God for seeing the Speaker through during his PhD programme and assured the speaker of their continued support to him to succeed.

Dr. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim specifically said that she was encouraged to organize the mini refreshment for the Speaker because in the history of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly he is the first Speaker to attain PhD while in office as the Speaker.
