Afrobeats megastar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that preparations for his highly anticipated white wedding to wife Chioma Adeleke have already gulped a staggering $3.

7 million in cash.

“We’ve spent $3.7 million in cash. So, you should know what we are doing.

It’s going to be crazy,” the 32-year-old singer said in a video shared on Instagram by fellow artiste Teni.

The couple, who arrived in Miami earlier this week aboard a private jet decorated with floral arrangements and a “MRS” sign, hosted an intimate pre-wedding party attended by top Nigerian entertainers including Zlatan Ibile, Teniola Apata, Adekunle Gold, Tunde Ednut, and Poco Lee.

Davido wore a white hat, blue suit jacket, white trousers, and an Ankara sash, while Chioma stunned in a short white gown. Guests were welcomed by signage boldly displaying “Chivido. Miami. 2025,” setting the tone for what promises to be an opulent celebration.

The Miami wedding, originally scheduled for later in August, is now taking place this weekend, marking the couple’s third wedding ceremony after their court wedding in March 2023 and traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024, which attracted prominent politicians and celebrities.

Among the high-profile guests expected is Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Davido’s uncle, whose spokesperson has confirmed his attendance.

Davido and Chioma first met over a decade ago at Babcock University. Their romance went public in 2018 when Davido released Assurance in her honour, later followed by 1 Milli. The couple weathered challenges, including a public breakup in 2021 and the tragic loss of their first son in 2022. They welcomed twins in the United States in October 2023.

The Miami ceremony is set to cement their love story as one of Nigeria’s most talked-about celebrity unions, now with a $3.7 million price tag to match.
