Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has terminated the appointment of Architect Ahmed Sarki Usman as Senior Special Assistant on Works, Housing, and Transport with immediate effect.

The decision was conveyed in a letter dated October 7, 2025, and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Labaran Shuaibu Magaji (SAN).

According to the letter, the dismissal followed a government circular issued on September 11, 2025, which barred all political appointees from openly identifying with or supporting any governorship aspirant before the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially lifts the ban on political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Usman, who previously served as Chairman of Doma Local Government Council, was accused of violating the directive by persistently associating with a particular aspirant despite repeated warnings.

The letter stated that his actions not only contravened the provisions of the Electoral Act but also undermined the authority of the governor’s office.

“While appreciating your services to the government and people of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, the Governor wishes you success in your future endeavors,” the letter concluded.
