350 Bauchi Youths Complete Agribusiness Training in Nasarawa

A total of 350 young people from Bauchi State have successfully completed the 2025 Innovative and Integrated Agricultural Value Chains Agribusiness Training held at CSS Global Integrated Farms, Gora, Nasarawa State.

The two-week intensive program equipped the participants with modern agricultural skills and knowledge aimed at transforming agribusiness and enhancing food production.

Representing the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Iliyas Aliyu-Gital, praised Professor John Kennedy Opara, Chairman of CSS Global Integrated Farms, and his team for delivering impactful and high-quality training. He expressed confidence that the program would empower Bauchi youths to become drivers of innovation and productivity in the agricultural sector.

“The training offers our young people opportunities to learn from experienced leaders through practical sessions and mentorship in modern agriculture,” the Governor said. “I urge you to embrace farming as a noble profession capable of reducing poverty, improving food security, and raising household incomes.”

In his lecture titled “The Power of Vision,” Professor Opara highlighted the importance of purpose and direction in achieving success. “Unless one understands what he was created to accomplish, his existence becomes meaningless,” he said. “Preparing our youth—the leaders of tomorrow—through knowledge and practical empowerment is the best way to secure the future.”

The training covered a range of agricultural areas, including grain production, poultry, fishery, food processing, packaging, and branding. Its goal was to equip the participants with relevant skills to contribute meaningfully to national development.

At the graduation ceremony, special awards were presented to Professor Opara and Governor Bala Mohammed in recognition of their exceptional leadership. Some participants also received cash prizes and gifts for outstanding performance.

The graduates expressed deep appreciation to the Bauchi State Government for its commitment to youth empowerment and for making the training a reality.
