Doris Ogala showcases $10,000, claims money was sent by Pastor Chris Okafor
Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has taken to social media to share a video in which she displays bundles of cash she alleges were given to her by popular cleric, Pastor Chris Okafor.
According to Ogala, the money, which she stated amounted to $10,000, was transferred to her following private discussions between herself and the pastor. The actress has recently been in the spotlight due to an ongoing dispute involving the clergyman.
She had earlier claimed that challenges linked to Pastor Okafor contributed to her decision to leave her previous marriage. In addition, Ogala has instituted a ₦1 billion lawsuit against him, accusing him of reneging on a promise to marry her, causing emotional and reputational harm, and allegedly circulating her private photographs without her consent.
In her most recent post, Ogala alleged that Pastor Okafor pressured her to publicly claim that other pastors sponsored her to speak against him. She explained that she accepted the money to substantiate her version of events and went on to share screenshots of what she described as their private conversations.
These allegations emerged shortly after social media commentator VeryDarkMan released an audio recording purportedly featuring Pastor Okafor’s daughter, identified as Precious. In the recording, she reportedly spoke about alleged family tensions while living in her father’s home and claimed she was treated differently from her siblings. She also made additional serious allegations concerning past events involving her mother, which have not been verified and have generated widespread online reactions.
As at the time of filing this report, Pastor Chris Okafor has yet to issue any public response to the latest claims.
