Former National Security Adviser and ex-Speaker of Parliament, Ali Larijani, has reportedly been killed.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was said to have ordered the assassination of the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council.

Larijani was reportedly killed in overnight strikes carried out by the Israeli military.

Although full details remain unclear, it is understood that he was eliminated alongside his son and an unnamed deputy.
Larijani had served as Iran’s chief negotiator in talks with Western nations, particularly the United States, over its nuclear programme.
His death follows the February 28 massacre of Iran’s political and security leadership, including the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, who has since been replaced by his son, Mojtaba Khamenei.
Iran is yet to officially respond to Israel’s claim regarding the assassination of Larijani.
