Social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has issued a public apology to human rights activist Omoyele Sowore over earlier remarks concerning his finances.

In a recent video shared online, the influencer admitted that his previous comments questioning how Sowore funds his child’s education and sustains his livelihood were inappropriate.

VeryDarkMan explained that his statements were made based on incomplete information and acknowledged that he should not have made such claims.

He noted that after reviewing additional details online—including discussions about the revenue of Sowore’s media platform, Sahara Reporters—he realised his assumptions were incorrect.

According to him, reports suggesting the platform generates substantial monthly income, alongside other financial estimates linked to Sowore, led him to reassess his position.
He said the exchange between them could have been avoided and expressed sincere regret.

VeryDarkMan further stated that he no longer sees any justification for questioning Sowore’s financial capacity.

He also apologised to his followers, taking responsibility for his actions and admitting he was wrong, while encouraging others to learn from the situation.

The apology follows several days of online exchanges between both figures, which had sparked reactions across social media.
