FRSC Returns ₦1.12m Recovered From Fatal Crash to Victim’s Family

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has handed over the sum of One Million, One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Naira recovered from a fatal road accident at Idu village along the Abaji–Gegu route to the family of the deceased victim.


The accident, which occurred recently, involved a Toyota Corolla and a Volkswagen Golf.

According to the FRSC, the driver of the Volkswagen Golf, Mallam Aliyu Mohammed Bala, sustained critical injuries and was later confirmed dead at the hospital.

The Corps explained that during the rescue operation carried out by the FRSC Zebra Team, the sum of ₦1,120,000, along with other personal valuables, was recovered from the accident scene.
While handing over the recovered money to the victim’s family, the Acting Unit Commander, Chief Route Commander Ojonugwa Ejah, stated that the funds and other valuables were properly documented in line with standard operational procedures.
Reacting to the development, the FRSC Corps Marshal, Mallam Shehu Mohammed, described the gesture as a strong testament to the Corps’ commitment to accountability and ethical conduct.
