JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Cut-Off Marks as Pan-Atlantic University Tops List with 220
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the minimum Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) cut-off marks approved by universities across Nigeria for the 2026 admission exercise.
The approved minimum scores were unveiled during the 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions held in Abuja on Monday, where the institutions’ benchmarks were presented to journalists.
According to the released list, Pan-Atlantic University fixed 220 as its minimum cut-off mark, making it the highest among the universities listed for the 2026 admission cycle.
Several prominent institutions, including Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Benin, University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, University of Nigeria and Covenant University, adopted 200 as their minimum benchmark.
Meanwhile, Lagos State University and Lagos State University of Science and Technology approved 195 as their cut-off mark, while Lagos State University of Education fixed its minimum score at 185.
JAMB clarified that the approved scores are only the minimum requirements for admission consideration. The board added that individual institutions are free to adopt higher benchmarks for highly competitive courses such as Medicine, Law, Pharmacy and Engineering. (LEADERSHIP)
