Cleric Urges Christians to Use Their Gifts for God’s Service as Husseina Akila Marks 60th Birthday

Reverend Habila Dauda of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, Garki District, Abuja, has called on Nigerians to use their talents, time, and resources to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and serve humanity.


Reverend Habila Dauda made the call while officiating at the thanksgiving service and 60th birthday celebration of the retired Director of News, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Hussaina Akila.
He said every Christian would give an account of his or her deeds on earth to God on the Day of Judgment.


He stressed the need for Christians not to be ashamed of proclaiming Christ in their places of work and to be good examples worthy of emulation.
The cleric appreciated God for the life of the retired Director of News, FRCN, Hussaina Akila, who spent 35 years in service to the nation and uplifted the lives of the downtrodden in society.
He urged those in positions of authority to help alleviate the plight of the less privileged.
Reverend Habila Dauda described Hussaina as a dedicated Christian, a lover of God’s work, and a dependable evangelist in the church vineyard.
In her remarks, the retired Director of News, Hussaina Akila, gave thanks to God for granting her the wisdom and courage to serve and excel during her 60 years on earth.
Hussaina Akila, who was visibly joyful, thanked the church and the people for their support and prayers.
Some of her friends showered encomiums on Hussaina for her honesty, professionalism, love, and support for humanity.
The service, which was attended by colleagues in the media profession, family members, friends, and well-wishers, featured praise and worship as well as a special Bible reading by the celebrant.
