NSHA Adjourns for Recess After Passing 37 Bills, Praises Executive-Legislative Synergy

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed 37 bills and 28 resolutions in the last three years.

Danladi Jatau, disclosed this during the end-of-legislative-year recess session held on Wednesday in Lafia, noting that the bills and resolutions passed have had a direct impact on the lives of the people of the state.

He expressed appreciation to the lawmakers for their unwavering support and cooperation over the years and urged them to sustain the spirit of unity.
“I want to thank you for giving me maximum support and cooperation over the years to succeed. We have achieved a lot, and the achievements were as a result of our unity, your support and cooperation that you have given me.
“Within the years under review, we have passed 37 bills, 33 bills are pending to be passed, and we have passed 28 resolutions that are important to the development of the state,” he said.
The Speaker also commended the lawmakers for maintaining effective synergy with the Executive arm of government in the state.
“I want to appreciate you all and the opposition lawmakers for giving His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule, the much-needed support to succeed. Our cordial working relationship and effective synergy with the Executive arm have enabled His Excellency, Gov. Sule, to achieve a lot in the state,” he added.
Dr. Jatau prayed for and wished the lawmakers success in their political and personal engagements during the recess period.
Earlier, the Deputy Majority Leader of the House, Rt. Hon. Abel Yakubu Bala, moved a motion for the House to proceed on recess from June 6, 2026, to July 14, 2026. The motion was unanimously adopted, and the House subsequently adjourned for the recess.
