Hon. Ukwenya Paul Ogwu has congratulated all aspirants and candidates who participated in the various party primaries for the House of Representatives seat of Idah Federal Constituency, which comprises Idah, Ibaji, Igalamela-Odolu, and Ofu Local Government Areas.

In a statement, he commended every aspirant for demonstrating courage, commitment, and a genuine desire to contribute to the development of the constituency, noting that democracy thrives when citizens and leaders freely offer themselves for service.

According to him, regardless of the outcome of the contest, all contestants remain stakeholders in the progress and prosperity of the people.
He stressed that the challenges confronting the constituency go beyond political affiliations and personal ambitions, emphasizing the need to address issues such as road infrastructure, quality education, accessible healthcare, youth empowerment, agricultural development, job creation, enhanced security, flood mitigation in vulnerable communities, and expanded economic opportunities for farmers, traders, and entrepreneurs.
He further noted that the people of Idah Federal Constituency deserve strong representation and a voice that speaks effectively for their interests.
Hon. Ukwenya said the development needs of Idah, Ibaji, Igalamela-Odolu, and Ofu require collective effort, unity of purpose, and a shared commitment to public service. He therefore urged political actors and stakeholders to place the interests of the people above all else and work together for the welfare and advancement of the constituency.
He expressed hope that the contest would strengthen democratic values and inspire all participants to continue contributing their quota towards building a more prosperous, peaceful, and united Idah Federal Constituency.
The PDP candidate also called for continued consultations and engagement with the people in an atmosphere of peace, brotherliness, and unity. He paid tribute to political icons, including the late Governor Abubakar Audu and Dr. Steven Makoji Achema, whose contributions, despite emerging from different political platforms, helped shape the development of the area.
He prayed that the sacrifices of past heroes would never be in vain.
Hon. Ukwenya also congratulated the people on the creation of the new Igala Ogba State Constituency in Ofu Local Government Area, describing it as a collective victory for all.
He concluded by wishing all fellow contestants good health and sound minds as they continue to serve the people with dedication, humility, and patriotism.
Long live Idah, Ibaji, Ofu, and Igalamela/Odolu Federal Constituency.
