Portable, Mr. Real Lead Star-Studded ‘Chaos in the Ring’ Showdown

LAGOS, Nigeria — Balmoral Group Promotions has announced a landmark partnership with global streaming platform DAZN to stage “Chaos in the Ring,” a major professional and celebrity boxing event scheduled for Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Balmoral Convention Center inside the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Billed as one of Africa’s biggest combat sports events of the year, the show will feature an exciting mix of professional boxing contests and celebrity exhibition fights. The headline professional bout will see Portable face Charles in what organizers describe as a high-intensity clash between two explosive fighters expected to thrill boxing fans.
The event will also feature a celebrity exhibition contest between Nigerian music stars Mr. Real and Idowest, who will swap the stage for the boxing ring in a friendly rivalry expected to attract widespread attention from both sports and entertainment audiences worldwide.
Other professional bouts on the fight card include Ahorgah vs. Williams, Antwi vs. Jafaru, Defreitas vs. Quarm, Adebayo vs. Chino, and Adeniji vs. Lawal, highlighting the depth of boxing talent in the region.
Through its global broadcast partnership with DAZN, the event will be streamed live in more than 200 countries, providing international exposure for Nigerian boxing and African combat sports.
The event is powered by Bet9ja and supported by major partners including Hennessy, Nike Boxing, the Bank of Industry (BOI), and the Lagos State Combat Sports Association (LSCSA). Other corporate sponsors include Octerra, Fearless Energy Drink, Goldberg, GIG Logistics, Wakanow, and Bravose.
