With just days to the return of Chaos in the Ring at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, EV Motors has partnered with Balmoral Group to reward the winners of the event’s two headline celebrity boxing bouts with two brand-new electric vehicles.

The partnership was unveiled during a press conference at the EV Motors headquarters in Lagos, where both organisations showcased the vehicles and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Nigerian talent while creating more opportunities in the country’s sports and entertainment industry.

Under the arrangement, the winners of the much-anticipated Portable vs. Charles Okocha and Mr Real vs. Idowest celebrity boxing matches will each go home with a brand-new electric vehicle, adding even greater excitement to what is expected to be the biggest edition of Chaos in the Ring.
Speaking during the unveiling, Chairman of EV Motors, Dr. Ned Okonkwo, described the collaboration as a long-term partnership between two Nigerian brands committed to creating opportunities for local talents.
He said the company believes in creating opportunities within Nigeria rather than encouraging migration, stressing that the country possesses some of the world’s finest talents, particularly in boxing.
Dr. Okonkwo noted that the initiative goes beyond giving away cars, explaining that it is aimed at rewarding excellence, transforming lives, and inspiring young Nigerians to pursue their dreams at home. He added that EV Motors would continue to support platforms that celebrate Nigerian talent and deliver lasting impact.
Founder of Chaos in the Ring and Group Managing Director of Balmoral Group, Dr. Ezekiel Adamu, said the partnership aligns with the platform’s vision of transforming African boxing through innovation, entertainment, and global exposure.
According to him, Nigeria and Africa have never lacked talent but have often been limited by the absence of the right platforms. He noted that Chaos in the Ring was created to bridge that gap by combining professional boxing with entertainment, making it one of Africa’s fastest-growing combat sports brands.
Dr. Adamu revealed that previous editions of the event have generated more than 2 billion video views and 4.2 billion digital impressions, while securing global distribution through DAZN, one of the world’s leading sports streaming platforms.
He further explained that the platform has significantly improved the fortunes of Nigerian boxers, with many now earning life-changing purses, securing international contracts, and competing on the global stage.
He added that the long-term vision is to make Africa a destination where international athletes seek opportunities, noting that the continent is already attracting increasing global attention through initiatives such as Chaos in the Ring.
The partnership with EV Motors marks another milestone in that journey, bringing together two organisations united by a commitment to promoting Nigerian excellence, innovation, and youth empowerment.
The Chaos in the Ring event will take place on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, where fans are expected to witness an exciting night of elite boxing, celebrity rivalries, music, entertainment, and career-defining moments, with two brand-new electric vehicles awaiting the night’s biggest winners.
