The Allied People’s Movement (APM) has conducted its second national elective convention in Bauchi, re-electing its National Chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantale, alongside other national officers.

The programme, which included the party’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), was held at the Rilwanu Sulaiman Centre in the state capital on Thursday, where the next set of executives of the party was affirmed.

The party’s executive, which will man the various offices, comprises about 37 members.
Speaking after taking the oath of office following the election, the chairman promised to drive the party in line with the “Reset Agenda” of the Makinde administration ahead of the 2027 elections.
Dantale expressed regret over the plight of Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora, promising more development, human capital development and genuine youth empowerment in the country.
He said the symbol of the APM, cassava, would provide all-round development in the areas of food security, agriculture and economic development in the country.
A major highlight of the programme was the swearing-in of the newly elected executives into their respective positions.
