Abuja bus terminals set for rollout as FEC seals management deal
By Urube Peter, Abuja
The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved a management contract for the newly completed Abuja bus terminals, with operations expected to commence within the next two to three weeks.
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, disclosed this while inspecting ongoing infrastructure projects, noting that the approval became necessary as the contract value exceeded the ministry’s approval threshold.
Wike expressed satisfaction with the quality of work on the access road leading to the Mabushi bus terminal, as well as the Arterial Road N1, both of which are scheduled for commissioning to mark President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s third anniversary in office.
The Minister reiterated his commitment to maintaining high standards in project execution, stressing that the FCT remains a key showcase through which visitors assess Nigeria’s infrastructure and overall development.
Speaking on the forthcoming PDP convention, Wike confirmed that he is supervising preparations at the venue and has engaged with Governor Bala Mohammed to ensure a hitch-free event, adding that the PDP remains a strong and enduring political platform.
