Senator Barau Hails President Tinubu at 74, Says Second-Term Win Will Precede Next Birthday
Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of his 74th birthday, offering prayers for good health and long life as he works towards transforming Nigeria into a prosperous nation.


Born on March 29, 1952, President Tinubu turns 74 on Sunday, March 29.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau expressed confidence that Nigerians will overwhelmingly re-elect President Tinubu in the January 16, 2027 presidential election, enabling him to sustain his reforms and infrastructure drive for national development.
“Happy 74th birthday to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. He is a visionary leader who has worked tirelessly over the past 34 months to reposition our country for the benefit of present and future generations.
“By the grace of God, Nigerians will overwhelmingly vote for President Tinubu on January 16, 2027, when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conducts the presidential election.
“I have no doubt that by this time next year, as we celebrate his 75th birthday, he will be the President-elect for a second term, with victory marking the celebration,” he stated.
He called on Nigerians to continue praying for the nation and to give full support to President Tinubu, stressing that the President remains committed to the country’s best interests.
Senator Barau, who also serves as the First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, reiterated the National Assembly’s backing for the President, stating: “We stand with the President in this journey to tackle our nation’s challenges for the benefit of all Nigerians.”
