Airforce Crash: APM Condoles Families, Calls for thorough investigation

The Allied People’s Movement (APM) has commiserated with the people of Nigeria over the untimely death of some Airforce officers in a forest around Igbokoda in Ondo State in a plane crash.
In a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Abubakar Yusuf, on behalf of the National Chairman, Yusuf Mamman Dantale, he described the death as one too many, as a result of government negligence over the years.
The party extended its condolences to the families for the loss of their loved ones, stating that the death of about 32 Airforce personnel was colossal and a failure of leadership at the national level.
He asked the Tinubu-led administration to launch a thorough investigation into the circumstances leading to the unfortunate development, stating that most of the aircraft belonging to the Nigeria Airforce are obsolete, unfit for the airspace and worn out.
Similarly, the APM presidential candidate and Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, expressed sadness over the unfortunate development.

While praying for the repose of the souls of the hardworking Airforce officers who lost their lives in Igbokoda, he asked the audience to observe a minute’s silence over the ugly development.
He said the loss of 32 officers, which included 25 Airforce officers and seven crew members, was a sad situation that calls for sober reflections.
